Yoga for Women

Yoga for Women

I’ve come to see that we’re all in this together, and that women everywhere are birthing a new vision of women’s health and wellness – and of identity. Central to this vision is that we trust what we know in our bones: that our bodies are our allies, and that they will always point us in the direction we need to go next.”

Christiane Northrup, M.D. , “Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom”

Originally yoga was designed to be taught by men for men. Things have come a long way since then! Many contemporary women have yoga to thank for helping them maintain optimum health and wellbeing. Yoga can be adapted expertly for the changing hormonal and emotional needs of women.

In her classes, teacher trainings and workshops, Ana teaches specific yoga practices for women during menstruation, menopause and pregnancy. Ana also draws upon the techniques and philosophy of yoga to support women during the emotionally fragile, and less-talked-about times, such as miscarriage, abortion and infertility.

"I attended a level 2 teacher training and Ana was one of the teachers . How inspiring you were, Ana!  The special subject of being a woman and all the stages we and our bodies go through. It was an honour to have attended your sessions and realise how special we are as beings and being a woman . You are a perfect woman for these sacred, special teachings."
