Welcome to our Bliss Baby Yoga November News

Ana Davis Bliss Baby Yoga“Research data has shown that babies born to women under states of duress, stress, or adrenal flooding, tend to exhibit more signs of unrest, clinginess, or fear-based behaviours because they have been conditioned to those hormones in the womb.”

These are sobering words from our special guest nutritionist, Kaye Waterhouse. Well, of course she’s not the only one who says that stress is not good for pregnancy – it’s widely known – and this month it’s a theme for our newsletter. Kaye explores some vital healthy eating tips for pregnant mummas including minimising that stress-inducer, caffeine,  and I look at the importance of releasing the psoas muscle during pregnancy. Did you know that the psoas muscle is related to our ‘fight or flight’ or stress response? And, we talk to Bliss Baby Yoga Online Graduate, Nicole Adoranti who is teaching pregnant women in Abu Dhabi to slow down.

As usual there’s a lot going here at Bliss Baby Yoga. This month we announce an exciting new course that I have been quietly gestating for years now – an 80 Hour Women’s Yoga Specialty Teacher Training course in Byron Bay, May 2016. This unique new course allows us the time and space to explore all the other phases of a woman’s life – the menstrual cycle, fertility, and menopause.  I’m super excited to have pulled together an inspiring crew of Bliss Baby regular teachers as well as some extraordinary new guest teachers. Check it out!

Finally, it’s not too late join us in Brisbane next week, for our final weekend Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training for the year
